Collections Specialist
Position Overview: A Collections Specialist will be responsible for reviewing resident accounts and identifying overdue accounts. They will contact appropriate parties regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments
- Contact customers by phone, email, or mail regarding outstanding balances
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities
- Process payments and update account information
- Work with internal departments to resolve account discrepancies
- Prepare aging reports and collection status updates
- Ensure compliance with company policies and debt collection regulations
- Escalate delinquent accounts when necessary
