Security team members are trusted ambassadors of the guest experience — maintaining a visible, professional presence on the gaming floor, responding with care and clarity during incidents, and supporting operations with sound judgment and calm leadership. Whether assisting guests, monitoring activity, or collaborating with other departments, the team contributes directly to the respectful, inclusive, and positive environment that defines Chances Maple Ridge.

Key Accountabilities
- Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the security operation
- Mentoring, coaching, and training front line security team members
- Monitoring, documenting and preparing statements/reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards and suspicious people or activities
- Enrolling guests in the self-exclusion program
- Conducting regular patrols of the entire property as directed
- Identifying risks and conditions that present safety concerns
- Providing or assisting with First Aid for team members and guests
- Responding to and resolving or escalating security concerns
- Escorting guests and team members or assigning escort duties as required
- Overseeing crowd control for special events
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- Must hold active Security Officer position at Chances Maple Ridge
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Computer literacy in MS
- BST or GSO license
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain Gaming license
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular office environment and non-traditional work hours will be required
