Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a Digital Agriculture Representative to bring practical, drone-based solutions to farmers and agricultural partners across Canada.
This is a customer-facing business development role focused on introducing drone technology to farmers, growers, and agricultural service providers. The successful candidate will combine relationship-building, product education, and practical sales follow-up to help customers understand where drones can create value on-farm.
What You'll Do:
- Represent the company at farms, grower meetings, trade shows, field days, and agricultural events to demonstrate drone technology and generate qualified sales leads
- Build trusted relationships with growers, agronomists, retailers, cooperatives, and agricultural service providers
- Understand customer needs and recommend technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce input costs, and increase yields
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, operations) to align business strategies
- Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)
What You'll Bring:
- Postsecondary education in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Agricultural Sciences, Urban Planning, or a related discipline
- Some understanding of farming and environmental science
- Ability to communicate complex concepts simply
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and travelling to farms, attending agricultural events, and conducting in-person product conversations with growers and partners
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) is an asset
