The Director of Team Resources is a strategic human capital leader responsible for aligning people strategies with business growth objectives.
This role partners closely with senior executives to design and execute workforce strategies that strengthen organizational performance, talent development, and employee engagement.
The position leads a team of HR business partners while driving scalable programs across talent management, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.

The Director of Team Resources will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating organizational priorities into effective people strategies and scalable human capital solutions. This role will oversee HR business partner operations, strengthen organizational capabilities, and drive initiatives that support growth, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Lead and develop a team of Team Resources Business Partners, establishing consistent standards for partnership, execution, coaching, and service delivery across the organization.
- Partner with senior leaders to translate business strategies into workforce plans, organizational designs, talent priorities, and execution roadmaps.
- Drive initiatives related to talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, career growth, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Provide strategic guidance on organizational effectiveness, workforce capacity, role clarity, retention risks, and talent gaps using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to align workforce investments, compensation strategies, and resource planning with growth objectives.
- Ensure effective employment practices, compliance standards, policy implementation, investigations, and risk mitigation in partnership with relevant internal teams.
- Lead people-focused change management initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations, restructurings, expansions, and organizational transformations.
- Build trusted relationships with executives and stakeholders by providing actionable recommendations that improve culture, performance, and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is an experienced human resources executive with a strong track record of leading strategic workforce initiatives in complex organizations. They combine strong business acumen, leadership capability, and expertise across talent strategy, organizational development, and employee relations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic HR leadership roles managing large-scale teams and initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading HR business partner functions and delivering measurable outcomes across talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong experience partnering with finance, technology, and business leaders to create workforce strategies and address talent priorities.
- Deep knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, performance management, compensation, and organizational design.
- Proven ability to coach executives, influence decision-making, and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use workforce data and business insights to guide recommendations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills.
- Experience within the insurance industry or similar regulated environments is preferred.
- SHRM-SCP certification or comparable professional credentials are preferred.
- Competitive annual salary range of $175,000 - $225,000 depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
