Junior Staff Accountant at Baccarat, Inc. – New York, New York

The Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for analyzing, validating, and reconciling financial data to support accurate internal and external reporting. This role works closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Assist in the preparation and organization of balance sheets, income statements, and supporting financial documentation
• Support sales tax preparation and filing processes
• Research and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable issues or inquiries
• Participate in month-end close activities, including schedules and supporting documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc accounting assignments as needed
