Position Overview:

As our Production Supervisor, you will spearhead initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and elevate overall performance. Responsible for safe and efficient operations of a plant operation including the quality and efficiency of the product produced. This position is to lead a production shift of skilled production operators to ensure products are being produced to specifications, in a safe manner while meeting quality and safety targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide creative leadership and direction to employees to improve operating efficiencies, equipment performance, ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Manage production through understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and product
  • Promote safe working habits and maintain good housekeeping 5S to ensure a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
  • Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work, internal or external audits.
  • Achieve results by establishing priorities, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, or procedures.
  • Maintain the quality of staff by hiring, training, developing, and mentoring employees to ensure maximum performance.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements.
  • Complete administration duties that include time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back-order reviews, past due list, and safety violations/concerns.
  • Balance and report quality, productivity, costs, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to improve in all areas.
  • Manage employees by checking products to maintain a high standard of quality and quantity. Ensure compliance of technical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, with 2+ years of team lead/supervisory experience.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing is required..
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work with cross functional teams
  • Process oriented thinker: Focus on both the process and result. Believe the right process will bring the right results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work with urgency
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Working Knowledge of lean process preferred.
  • Positive attitude and action oriented.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • English required, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
