Job Description
Legacy Parking is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This is more than a traditional accounting role; it’s an opportunity to leave your mark on a growing company. The ideal candidate brings 2–4 years of hands-on accounting experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to grow alongside a company that is building something lasting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Perform all accounts payable functions including, but not limited to, reviewing invoices and ensuring, if applicable, they are in compliance with vendor agreements, obtaining invoice approvals from appropriate operational managers and ensuring correct coding of invoices to the appropriate accounts
• Manage customer billing, collections, and cash application for parking revenue streams
• Maintain vendor and customer records in NetSuite and other platforms, ensuring data integrity
• Research and resolve discrepancies or disputes with vendors and clients
• Reconcile 3rd party revenue reporting
Bank & Account Reconciliations
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances in a timely manner
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for all reconciled accounts
Month-End & Year-End Close
• Execute month-end close procedures including reviewing income statements, booking adjusting journal entries and accruals, and creation and distribution of financial statement packages
• Prepare reporting and submission of month parking tax liabilities
• Record and maintain fixed asset schedules, including the timely recognition of newly acquired assets at historical cost and the accurate calculation and posting of monthly depreciation expense
• Assist in year-end close activities and preparation of annual tax filing workpapers
• Ensure close deadlines are met consistently and all deliverables are accurate
• Generate ad hoc reports in NetSuite as requested by leadership
Budgeting & Forecasting
• Provide support in the annual budgeting process, including data compilation and analysis
• Assist with quarterly forecast updates and variance commentary
• Collaborate with operational teams to gather and validate budget inputs
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity parking or service-industry environment
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP, Paylocity, Ramp or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred
• Experience in parking, real estate, property management, or multi-location operations
• CPA candidate or active CPA license (preferred but not required)
