Payroll Clerk at Coastal Medical Transportation Service – Quincy, Massachusetts

Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will handle payroll data entry, timekeeping records, and employee pay inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations. This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Payroll Manager with the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.

Review and verify timecards, attendance records, and payroll changes.

Enter payroll data including new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions.

Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.

Respond to employee payroll questions with efficiency

Assist with payroll tax filings, garnishments, and benefit deductions

Support audits and prepare payroll reports as requested

Collaborate with People team and Finance teams on payroll-related matters

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

1–3 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience

Familiarity with payroll systems, ADP preferred.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledge of MA payroll laws and wage requirements preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $40.00 to $48.00 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications
