Summary

Minnesota Women’s Care is a private, patient-focused practice dedicated to providing personalized, state-of-the-art medical care for women of all ages in a welcoming, supportive environment. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Dietician to join our robust, integrative clinical team.

Our Registered Dietitian will work closely with our functional medicine providers to deliver individualized nutrition counseling and lifestyle support for patients seeking weight loss, improved fitness and body composition, metabolic optimization, gut healing, and overall wellness. This role is highly collaborative and includes both direct patient care and coordination with other providers within the practice.

Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in functional medicine nutrition approaches, elimination diets, and behavior-change coaching. Health coaching skills and a patient-centered communication style are highly valued.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Develop personalized nutrition plans tailored to patient goals including:

  • Weight loss and body composition
  • Fitness and performance goals
  • Macronutrient optimization
  • Metabolic health improvement
  • Blood sugar regulation
  • Gut health and inflammation reduction

Guide patients through functional medicine dietary protocols including:

  • IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine) food plans
  • Elimination diets and reintroduction protocols
  • Anti-inflammatory nutrition approaches
  • Therapeutic nutrition interventions
  • Provide ongoing accountability, education, motivation, and behavior-change support
  • Collaborate closely with functional medicine providers regarding patient care plans, lab findings, supplements, and treatment strategies
  • Receive and manage internal referrals from providers for patients interested in weight loss, health optimization, and lifestyle intervention
  • Educate patients on sustainable lifestyle habits including meal planning, grocery shopping, mindful eating, and healthy routines
  • Partners with patients to develop individualized, evidence-based care plans that respect patient preferences, cultural backgrounds, and personal health goals while promoting optimal health outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary and integrative care team—including internal and external specialists, nurses, therapists, and community resources—to ensure comprehensive, well-coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EMR. Carefully completes all required documentation in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) required
  • Experience or strong interest in functional medicine, integrative nutrition, or lifestyle medicine
  • Familiarity with IFM dietary approaches strongly preferred
  • Experience guiding patients through elimination diets and food sensitivity protocols preferred
  • Background in weight management, fitness nutrition, metabolic health, or behavior change coaching preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational interviewing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for helping patients achieve long-term health transformation
  • Commitment to staying current with the latest research and advancements in the field
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Demonstrated experience with integrative or holistic medicine, preferably in a team-based or multidisciplinary setting
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, adhere to, and contribute to the development of established policies, procedures, and evidence-based clinical protocols.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff in a busy and complex environment, demonstrating tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong charting/documentation skills.
  • Unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in clear, accessible language
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Good judgment, with the ability to make timely, sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset and adaptability to changing clinical needs.
