POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the VP of Integration, the Director of Quality is responsible for developing and leading the company’s quality strategy in the Charlotte Center of Excellence across supplier quality assurance, inbound quality control, value-added services quality, and outbound customer quality performance. This role will contribute to the further development of enterprise quality systems, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to ensure consistent product integrity across the full value chain. The Director of Quality will lead and evolve Solve’s quality management framework by establishing scalable processes, piloting them in the Charlotte COE, driving accountability for quality outcomes, and partnering cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and commercial leadership. The role will oversee quality control and inspection operations while also expanding the organization’s capabilities in supplier quality assurance, corrective and preventive action systems, audit readiness, and enterprise quality governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own quality performance across inbound supplier quality and outbound customer quality KPIs in the Charlotte COE
- Lead, mentor and develop the Quality team to ensure consistent execution and continuous improvement
- Establish and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with applicable regulatory, customer, and ISO 9001 standards
- Lead root cause analysis for quality issues, customer complaints and recurring rework drivers
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce repeat defects and process variation
- Lead supplier quality assurance initiatives in conjunction with the Supply Chain team, including supplier qualification, supplier audits, corrective actions, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement programs for strategic manufacturing partners and vendors
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, statistical process control, process capability analysis, and other operational excellence methodologies
- Leverage ERP, QMS, WMS, and data analytics tools to identify trends, mitigate risk, and improve overall operational quality performance
- Manage quality systems in both internal manufacturing environments and outsourced or partner-manufacturing networks and operate with a proactive, systems-oriented mindset focused on defect prevention, process capability, supplier performance management, and continuous improvement rather than reactive inspection alone
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of progressive quality leadership experience across manufacturing, distribution, supplier quality, or industrial operations environments
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise quality systems across both internal manufacturing operations and external supplier or contract manufacturing networks
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA processes, root cause analysis methodologies, statistical process control, and Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience owning supplier quality assurance programs, supplier audits, and supplier corrective action processes
- Experience with ERP, WMS, QMS, and manufacturing systems within industrial operations environments
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with PPAP, FMEA, APQP, supplier development, and incoming material risk management
- Experience leading quality operations in multi-site industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM)
- ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor certification
