- Hands-on exposure to automotive OEM and Tier 1 quality systems
- Engineering degree highly preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in an automotive supplier environment (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)
- Prior engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing setting
- Experience with injection molding or plastics manufacturing
- Engel molding machine experience preferred
- Working knowledge of automotive quality systems and documentation
- Understanding of IATF 16949 requirements
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Quality Engineer will support 2nd shift production operations by maintaining quality standards, supporting compliance activities, and driving continuous improvement efforts within injection molding operations.
- Support quality activities for automotive injection molding production
- Create, maintain, and update work instructions and quality documentation
- Support IATF 16949 compliance and related audits
- Interface with internal production teams to address quality concerns and corrective actions
- Assist with supplier quality activities as needed
- Support ongoing process improvements and quality initiatives during 2nd shift
- Monitor production quality and help resolve issues in real time
- Work independently while supporting off-shift manufacturing operations
- Additional duties as assigned
