CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Quality Engineer to support our Production team in cross‑functional operational activities.
This role is responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Take strong supplier quality skills and apply them to our supply base. Practices robust product containment for all customer concerns and leads a cross-functional team in RC/CA investigations.- while contributing to Plant SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.
What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities, not limited to)
- Coordinates and prepares all New Model documentation and event part data related to customer quality system requirements.
- Completes, with cooperation from Quality and Production staff, all applicable Quality Standards, flow charts, control plans, and FMEA's necessary for customer approval.
- Experienced with APQP (advanced product quality planning) procedures and documentation. Updates all documentation as required.
- Knowledge of all applicable customer portals and applications
- Participates in all new program start-ups to determine and communicate required schedules for necessary documentation.
- Performs planned, periodic audits of all areas of the quality system including design controls for compliance to applicable government regulations and to company policies and procedures.
- Performs re-audits of deficient matters and corrective actions, as needed and required. Identifies lessons learned and read across
- Has past experience working in Supplier Quality and has performed supplier audits when necessary.
- Documents audit results in written audit reports that are distributed and reviewed by appropriate management.
- Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
- Responsible for form control of quality standards, process quality control charts, SPC, control plans, and failure mode effect analysis.
- Updates all necessary quality documentation, as a result of process changes, design changes, etc'. on an as-needed basis, and distributes internally and to effected customer. Creates FR and follows through to completion.
- Trains any/all identified associates on the interpretation of any/all quality documents.
- Directs sampling inspection, and testing of received parts, components, and materials to determine conformance to standards.
- Reviews quality problems with engineering personnel and directs action required to correct defects.
- Supports onsite customer liaison where applicable by providing part information, clean points, corrective actions, etc.
- Annual Review of the CSR for warranty (Stellantis = CQI-14 Self Assessment)
- Provides compliance expertise to Quality Assurance, Engineering, Product Development, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.
- Serves as a team leader, making recommendations and corrective actions, which are required regarding audit results, and compliance to written procedures or applicable government regulations.
- Maintains files containing audit reports, re-audit reports, and audit responses, and pertinent corrective action follow-up for audits conducted.
- Provides advice and guidance to less seasoned Quality System Auditors.
- Maintains abreast of regulatory changes through industry publications, seminars, participation in trade organizations, and government meetings.
- Ensures proper documentation and communication under IATF 16949
- Ensures a customer focus at all times, in compliance with IATF 16949
- Knowledgeable of all relevant policies, procedures and processes under IATF 16949
This role has occasional travel to Supplier locations and other CpK sites
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in the field of Science in Engineering or related
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance, quality control
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, regulations and industry standards, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation
- Must be able to use Excel spreadsheet as well as create and maintain charts and data for use in managing quality systems
- Ability to use statistical analysis and SPC methods
- Must be able to make decisions regarding solutions for quality problems while considering demands of product quality, customer needs, production schedules, and time pressures
Work Schedule & Pay
- Schedule: Full‑time, On-site, Manufacturing Plant
- Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours. Weekend work depending on schedule as per customer demand
- Overtime: As required, in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation
- Compensation Range: $60,000 – 80,000 annual
This range reflects our current expectations as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical locations, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
