Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
High-level managerial position responsible for organizing, directing, controlling, evaluating, and implementing through a functional management team the administrative support and production operations in the manufacture of conveyer belt systems for the mining and tunneling industries to facilitate timely production and safe working conditions.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE
- HS/GED Required; College/University Degree Preferred
- Minimum Five (5) Years Supervisory/Managerial Experience Required or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Experience Required
- Knowledge of Stamping and Forming Equipment Preferred
- ISO 9001 Experience, A Plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient ability to understand instructions and underlying principles of production operations including mechanical engineering comprehension to reason and make judgments to meet deadlines in a high volume production environment
- Proficient organizational skills to develop-implement production schedules to maintain adequate inventory of raw materials and finished products to meet customer demand
- Proficient ability to implement quality/safety procedures and guidelines during all phases of production operations
- Proficient verbal/written communication skills to present information or ideas clearly to personnel at all levels of administrative support, production operations, and senior management
- Proficient information gathering and monitoring skills to facilitate effective, unbiased decision making and problem solving functions
- Proficient mathematical ability to manage production budgets
- Fundamental computer skills (microsoft office) with knowledge of management software
- Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ flexible schedule on short notice including weekends
- A “team” mentality with the ability to organize and coordinate the work of others
- Near/far vision and multiple limb coordination with light/medium (5-20 lbs) lifting capability during normal phase duties
- Ability to sit or stand as needed to perform job duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate plant administrative and production operations to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, quality assurance and safety procedures.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to cost-effectively use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production demands.
- Develop and coordinate production and quality/safety inspection reporting procedures to facilitate adherence to production requirements and ISO 9001 standards.
- Develop and coordinate machine/equipment maintenance schedules to facilitate cost-effective manufactured goods production.
- Hire and supervise training of employees in the use of machines/equipment and production processes through management team.
- Submit required reporting to senior management.
- Attend corporate training sessions to acquire innovative procedures to maintain competitive edge in production operations.
