Job Description
Company Description:
We specialize in the development and deployment of data-driven surgical solutions, with an initial focus on general and gastrointestinal surgery. Our technologies integrate medical devices, software, and artificial intelligence into platforms that address real clinical and operational challenges across the continuum of surgical care.
We combine continuous physiological monitoring from our proprietary sensors with comprehensive electronic health record data, creating intelligent systems that enable earlier identification of clinical deterioration and complications. Beyond patient monitoring, our platform extends to patient education and engagement tools, as well as automated documentation and coding modules supporting care teams and driving operational efficiency.
Our team brings together expertise across clinical practice, research, engineering, data science, manufacturing, and commercialization. We build solutions designed for real-world impact, supported by full in-house capabilities, a strong intellectual property portfolio, and partnerships with leading institutions around the world.
Why Join FluidAI Medical?
- Mission to save lives and improve patient care with technology that’s already deployed on patients in real-world settings.
- Work with a high-performing and cross-functional team that is empowered to grow, learn, and contribute across all levels of the organization.
- Personal career-focused development and training with access to workshops, coursework, and experienced mentors/consultants.
- Regular offsite activities – past events include rafting, axe-throwing, sports leagues, and regular BBQs.
The Role
You will be the technical point of contact between FluidAI and our hospital partners. You’ll integrate our platform with hospital information systems, troubleshoot deployment issues in real- time, and ensure our product works reliably in clinical environments.
This is a fast‑paced, on‑the‑ground role with significant time spent inside hospitals, working with IT departments, clinical staff, and our remote engineering team primarily in the KSA. The role may be based in KSA or based in Canada with substantial time spent on site; final structure will be aligned with the successful candidate.
We need someone who can move quickly, write code, and solve problems independently.
We’re a tight‑knit team that cares more about getting it right than being right. We challenge each other openly, move fast, and stay focused on what matters i.e. the product. Leave ego at the door.
Responsibilities
- Integrate FluidAI’s platform with hospital EMR/HIS systems (MCC, Oasis, CareWare, Vida, Cerner, Epic, InterSystems TrakCare, and others).
- Build and maintain integration layers using HL7, FHIR, and REST APIs.
- Work with hospital IT teams to configure network access, security requirements, and API connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues at partner sites (often same-day).
- Ensure compliance with NPHIES and Saudi healthcare data regulations (PDPL).
- Serve as the technical bridge between hospital stakeholders and FluidAI’s engineering team.
- Document integration patterns and build repeatable deployment playbooks.
- Support onboarding and training of hospital staff on FluidAI products
Requirements
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare system integrations (HL7, FHIR, REST APIs).
- Strong ability to read code.
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written).
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) - you’ll communicate daily with a distributed engineering team.
- Based in Saudi Arabia or willing to relocate immediately.
- Comfortable working autonomously in hospital environments with clinical and IT staff.
- Bias toward action - you ship fast, iterate, and don’t wait for permission.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with Saudi EMR systems (MCC, Oasis, CareWare, Vida, Cerner, Epic, InterSystems TrakCare, and others).
- Familiarity with NPHIES and Saudi healthcare regulations.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP).
- Background in healthcare data standards (ICD-10, DRG, medical coding)
