The Commercial Account Executive will own a portfolio of named accounts, driving revenue growth, customer adoption, and long-term partnerships through strategic sales execution and consultative engagement.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-market customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Meet or exceed sales quotas while developing strong, trusted relationships with prospects and existing customers.
- Understand customer business objectives, buying processes, and success criteria to position effective solutions.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through consistent prospecting, account planning, and opportunity development.
- Own territory strategy and act as the primary business leader for assigned accounts.
- Lead sales conversations, presentations, negotiations, and closing activities with key stakeholders.
- Create accurate sales forecasts and maintain visibility into pipeline health and quarterly performance.
- Collaborate with partner ecosystems to identify new opportunities and deliver additional customer value.
- Work closely with customer success, renewals, sales development, marketing, and technical teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
- Drive customer adoption, reduce churn risk, and support long-term account expansion.
- Participate in events, customer meetings, and industry activities to strengthen relationships and generate opportunities.
- Analyze wins, losses, and customer feedback to improve sales strategies and contribute to internal best practices.
- Apply structured sales methodologies, including MEDPICC and value-based messaging, across opportunities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced SaaS sales professional with strong account management skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to build meaningful customer relationships.
- Proven experience in commercial or enterprise SaaS sales, with a focus on consultative, value-based selling.
- Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong ability to build relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience developing account strategies, managing pipelines, and closing new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into business value.
- Experience with software development tools, DevOps, Git, application lifecycle management, or related technologies preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in open-source technology and modern software development practices.
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings in accordance with company travel requirements.
- Must be located within the Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones.
- Competitive annual base salary range of $91,600 - $154,200 USD.
- Eligibility for sales incentive compensation targeted up to 100% of base salary.
