LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist in El Dorado Springs, Missouri at Citizens Memorial

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist to join the dynamic team of providers already in place providing exceptional patient care at the El Dorado Springs Medical Center in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the area: El Dorado Springs is a progressive, full-service city in Southwest Missouri known for its rich history and family-friendly atmosphere. It's the largest city in Cedar County and is centered around a spring believed to have healing properties. The city's location between Kansas City, Springfield, and Joplin provides easy access to various amenities, including the Wayside Inn Museum, the Opera House Cinema, and El Dorado Springs City Park.

About the department: CMH's Behavioral Health Department focuses on treating the “whole” person, not just the parts. CMH's behavioral health team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and licensed clinical social workers offering services in a variety of settings. Conditions treated include dementia, depression, addiction recovery, anxiety, and loss and grief, just to name a few.

A typical day will include: Working in our local school district so that parents and guardians are relieved from bringing students into the clinic for ongoing therapy services. Referrals come from teachers, school counselors, primary care physicians and parents.

• Completes patient intakes, assessments, and one-on-one therapy sessions lasting between 30 minutes and one hour
• Provides counseling for problems such as ADHD, OCD, ODD and other behavioral issues, as well as provides treatment for anxiety/depression, loss/grief, anger and trauma
• Participates in crisis and risk assessments at schools' or providers' requests
• Refers patients to additional community services and resources as deemed appropriate
• Enters documentation in a timely and appropriate manner

Job Requirements:

• Education: MSW from a CSWE accredited Social Work program, or a Masters/Doctorate Degree in Psychology
• Experience: 1-3 years of behavioral health or substance abuse counseling (may include pre-degree practicum)
• Skills: Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication, time-management, organization
• Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist. We are unable to consider PLPCs at this time.
• Physical: Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time

This position is: Set your own schedule with compensation based on production! A minimum of 80 sessions are expected to be completed each month.
