Senior Software Developer - PreCon

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Developer - PreCon based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to build innovative software solutions that transform how complex projects are planned and delivered.
You will contribute to scalable applications that help customers make smarter decisions through data, automation, and AI-driven capabilities.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will design, develop, and improve modern web applications and services.
The position combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful features from concept through deployment.
This is a fully remote opportunity for a developer passionate about building reliable, intelligent, and customer-focused technology solutions.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Software Developer - PreCon will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software solutions while contributing to technical innovation, product improvements, and engineering excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications, backend services, APIs, and full-stack solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver impactful customer-facing features.
  • Build intelligent software capabilities by applying AI technologies to improve decision-making, forecasting, automation, and risk analysis.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
  • Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by mentoring peers, sharing knowledge, and supporting the growth of other developers.
  • Work within agile teams to continuously improve processes, products, and customer outcomes.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software developer with strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building modern cloud-based applications. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience building and maintaining production applications.
  • Strong experience with modern web application development, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservice architectures.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, scalability, and system design.
  • Experience working with cloud-based environments and deploying reliable applications at scale.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to collaborate effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with technologies such as Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI/ML technologies, developing AI-powered features, or applying AI tools to improve software delivery workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute to technical discussions and explain complex concepts clearly.

  • Competitive base salary range for Canada-based roles: $107,000 - $157,300 annually, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location.
