Accountabilities:

The IAM Security Engineer will be responsible for managing, improving, and innovating identity and access management solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on strengthening security posture through automation, AI-enabled capabilities, governance improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage, configure, and optimize IAM platforms, including identity governance solutions and access management tools, to support secure and efficient enterprise access.
  • Develop and enhance automation workflows for access provisioning, de-provisioning, compliance reporting, entitlement reviews, role management, and administrative processes.
  • Design and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve IAM operations, including anomaly detection, access risk identification, issue summarization, and remediation recommendations.
  • Build intelligent AI agents and retrieval-augmented language model solutions to support IAM administration, governance activities, and analyst workflows.
  • Collaborate with AI engineering teams and internal technology groups to apply best practices for AI adoption within identity security processes.
  • Analyze IAM data, reporting metrics, and access trends to identify risks, improve access hygiene, and provide actionable insights to security stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain access models, reporting capabilities, queries, and analytical methods to identify policy violations, unusual access patterns, and privileged access risks.
  • Support identity lifecycle management processes, ensuring users, applications, and systems maintain appropriate access based on business needs and security policies.
  • Assist with IAM governance activities and ensure alignment with security standards and regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, SOX, SOC2, and PCI-DSS.
  • Partner with security, IT, application owners, compliance teams, and business stakeholders to improve access controls and strengthen security outcomes.
  • Contribute to IAM process maturity by improving documentation, reducing manual efforts, and implementing scalable security solutions.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a cybersecurity professional with strong IAM expertise, automation capabilities, and experience applying modern technologies to improve identity security operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, cybersecurity, information security, or a similar technical discipline.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IAM solutions, identity governance, access lifecycle management, and access control processes.
  • Hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Entra ID, or similar identity governance technologies.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, reporting, data analysis, or AI-assisted workflow optimization.
  • Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, and AI-enabled tools applied to security, governance, anomaly detection, or remediation processes.
  • Experience with privileged access management solutions such as BeyondTrust or similar PAM platforms.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust security models and modern access security technologies.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks related to identity management, including HIPAA, SOX, SOC2, and PCI-DSS.
  • Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and integrating IAM solutions with cloud services.
  • Ability to use technical tools such as Python, SQL, APIs, or similar technologies for automation, reporting, and IAM integrations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical risks into clear business recommendations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM-focused security certifications are preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of approximately $96,500 to $123,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, education, and location.
