This role plays a key leadership and strategic advisory function within Indigenous Banking, supporting the delivery of tailored financial solutions for Indigenous Peoples, businesses, and communities. This is a highly influential role where your insights and relationships directly shape client outcomes and community engagement across the region.

Accountabilities:
  • Support the execution of Indigenous Banking strategy in collaboration with senior regional leadership, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and regional priorities.
  • Provide guidance across credit risk, business analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives while contributing to special projects that enhance portfolio performance.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on portfolio management, identifying emerging trends and opportunities across Indigenous banking relationships and broader business units.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support long-term collaboration and trust.
  • Participate in committees and working groups to contribute to strategic planning and enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Contribute to sound lending decisions and commercial outcomes while ensuring adherence to credit and risk frameworks.
Requirements:

This role requires strong experience in commercial banking or credit environments, combined with the ability to operate as a strategic partner across complex stakeholder networks. You should bring a deep understanding of lending practices, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence outcomes in a regulated financial environment.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial credit, lending, or commercial banking with hands-on exposure to lending processes and credit decisioning.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lending guidelines, credit risk frameworks, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams and external client groups, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship building, negotiation, and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to translate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • High level of organization, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong analytical capability.
  • Understanding of Indigenous communities, or experience working closely with Indigenous clients and stakeholders, is highly valued.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with variable compensation and performance-based incentives
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits for employees and eligible dependents
  • Retirement savings plans and employer-supported financial wellbeing programs
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicable
  • Strong focus on learning, training, and long-term career development opportunities
  • Access to mentoring programs and structured professional growth pathways
  • Inclusive workplace culture focused on equity, belonging, and collaboration
  • Employee recognition programs and community engagement initiatives
  • Support for accessibility and accommodations throughout the employee journey.
