This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of financial reporting within a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. You will own the full accounting and financial close function, playing a critical role in maintaining strong financial controls and delivering trusted insights to senior leadership. The role combines hands-on technical accounting expertise with team leadership and strategic business partnership. You will oversee month-end close, external audits, and consolidated reporting across multiple entities while continuously improving financial systems and processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings structure to complexity, and takes pride in financial accuracy. You will also act as a trusted advisor to the business, helping translate financial data into meaningful decisions that support growth
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end close, and IFRS/US GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and regulatory disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Own and manage the external audit process, coordinating with auditors and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks that scale with business growth.
- Manage multi-entity accounting structures, including consolidations, intracompany eliminations, and SPV reporting.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Partner with leadership by providing financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial accuracy.
- CPA designation is required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience managing month-end close, audits, consolidated reporting, and internal controls in complex environments.
- Experience with multi-entity structures, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain a strategic, big-picture perspective.
