Discovery Clerk - Litigation at WEST COAST TRIAL LAWYERS APLC – Los Angeles, California

We are currently seeking a Discovery Clerk to support our Litigation/Personal Injury Department. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1-3 years of litigation or employment law experience, as well as entry-level candidates eager to grow in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, propound, and respond to discovery requests (preferably in personal injury cases)
• Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial and exhibit binders
• Calendar deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
• Draft motions, oppositions, replies, and other legal documents
• Manage case files, correspondence, and communications with opposing counsel
• Upload, organize, and maintain case materials in Filevine
• Provide support to attorneys during all phases of litigation, including trial prep
• Assist in training and supporting junior assistants, as needed

• 1-3 years of experience handling discovery in employment law or personal injury (preferred, but open to strong entry level candidates)
• Strong understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure
• Paralegal certificate (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with Filevine or similar case management software is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range:

• Entry-level: $18.00-$25.00/hour (for candidates with limited experience)
• Experienced: $20.00-$28.00/hour (for candidates with 1-3 years of discovery or litigation background)
