Dump Truck Driver in Jeffersonville, Indiana at Messier and Associates, Inc.

Messier and Associates, Inc is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks to haul materials such as dirt, gravel, stone, asphalt, or debris to job sites and designated locations
• Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, including checking hydraulic systems, tailgates, pins, tarps, and latches
• Load, tarp, and secure materials to ensure safe transport
• Comply with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies
• Communicate daily with dispatch, mechanics, and management regarding routes, schedules, and vehicle conditions
• Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or hazardous conditions promptly
• Maintain accurate records including work tickets, weight tickets, and required paperwork
• Operate equipment safely on uneven terrain and construction sites

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B (required)
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Strong Communication Skills
• Previous Experience not required but would be nice
• Strong attention to safety and details
