Purpose of the Job:
The InfoTech Security and Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and providing technical support to end users for computer hardware, software, other technology equipment, and business-related applications. This position requires daily interaction with end-users and effective communication of technical answers in a way the end user can understand.
Reports to: IT System Infrastructure Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing end user technical support over phone or in person when required for desktop hardware and software issues, application support and system access problems.
- Manage helpdesk service requests; ensuring helpdesk tickets are properly prioritized and addressed in a timely manner; follows up and communicates to all involved and tracks calls.
- Oversees the installation & configuration of hardware, operating systems, mobile devices, peripherals, and applications. Includes the imaging of laptops & desktops.
- Assist in assessing security environment and providing recommendations to help meet security requirements
- Assist with the supporting, monitoring and management of IT infrastructure including day-to-day IT operations.
- Coordinate and help manage information security and technology installations and upgrades.
- Assist with maintaining Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Troubleshoots and researches issues independently then escalate issues in a timely manner as needed.
- Assist in implementing technical changes to information systems and network infrastructure.
- Assist in the preparation and response to external audits and assessments.
- Assist in implementing security compliance process improvements and technical controls.
- Under the direction of management, duties include assisting with creating and maintaining policies and procedures, conducting internal audits, and staying current with security trends, threats, and regulations.
- Review the company’s security controls to ensure they are working correctly.
- Maintains, monitors, and modifies security tools, systems, and processes according to standard and department policies and procedures, and automate wherever feasible.
- Work with various vendor’s technical support on resolving complex issues.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation; support documents and procedures for end users; and take ownership of all required documentation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with various Information systems and provide troubleshooting assistance to other InfoTech staff when required.\
- Prioritizing your workload to ensure the most critical issues are resolved first.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
