Senior Mixed Methods User Researcher

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Mixed Methods User Researcher in Canada.

This role is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced UX research leader passionate about shaping user-centered product strategy through evidence-based insights.
You will lead both generative and evaluative research across complex digital products, helping teams deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations.
The role sits at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and data science, ensuring research directly influences roadmap decisions and product direction.
You will work in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving digital experiences at scale.
Beyond conducting research, you will play a strategic role in mentoring researchers and elevating research practices across teams.
You will also contribute to responsible innovation, including thoughtful use of AI in research workflows.
This is a remote opportunity based in Canada, offering high impact and strong cross-functional visibility.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead mixed-methods UX research initiatives across product areas such as mobile and privacy-focused experiences, delivering actionable insights that inform product strategy and design decisions.
  • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis.
  • Translate complex user behavior, technical constraints, and business requirements into clear insights and recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, and marketing teams to identify high-impact research opportunities and influence product roadmaps.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring continuous integration of research findings.
  • Contribute to research excellence by mentoring peers, shaping best practices, and supporting responsible use of AI in research workflows.
Requirements:
  • 4–6+ years of experience in UX research within consumer technology or digital product environments.
  • Proven expertise in leading both generative and evaluative research across multiple stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Strong command of qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, concept testing) and quantitative approaches (survey design, data interpretation).
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with the ability to manage shifting priorities while maintaining research impact.
  • Strong analytical thinking and judgment in prioritizing research initiatives and making trade-off recommendations.
  • Familiarity with AI tools in research workflows, with the ability to critically assess outputs and apply them responsibly.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders through insights.
  • Commitment to user-centered design, continuous iteration, and inclusive, ethical research practices.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with Canadian market benchmarks (varies by location tier).
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Strong retirement savings support with immediate vesting.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, wellness days, and birthday leave.
  • Annual home office stipend and professional development budget.
  • Quarterly well-being support stipend and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Paid parental leave and employee referral bonus programs.
  • Inclusive, mission-driven culture focused on open, accessible, and user-first technology.
