The Senior Technical Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs that enhance knowledge, improve performance, and support the growth of technical teams.
- Partner with training leadership and security subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps, analyze learning needs, and create effective training strategies.
- Design, develop, and maintain technical learning experiences, including self-paced courses, instructor-led sessions, practice activities, documentation, and onboarding materials.
- Translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, accessible learning content for audiences with different levels of technical expertise.
- Deliver engaging virtual instructor-led training sessions when live facilitation provides the greatest learning impact.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance outcomes, using insights to continuously improve programs.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure training materials reflect accurate, current detection, response, and operational practices.
- Convert technical expertise, operational knowledge, and real-world scenarios into practical resources that security professionals can use in their daily work.
- Identify opportunities to improve learning processes, tools, and workflows while supporting scalable training initiatives.
- Incorporate AI tools into training and content development workflows to increase efficiency and enhance learning experiences.
The ideal candidate is a cybersecurity-focused technical trainer with experience creating educational content, facilitating learning experiences, and translating technical information into practical solutions.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training within cybersecurity or another complex technical environment.
- Strong background in cybersecurity concepts, security operations, detection, response, or related technical domains.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning materials and structured training programs from technical information.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to both experienced professionals and learners with varying skill levels.
- Experience balancing content development with instructor-led facilitation and adapting training approaches based on audience needs.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment where processes and programs are continuously evolving.
- Familiarity with modern learning tools, learning management systems (LMS), and digital training platforms.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience using AI tools to improve workflows, research, content creation, or productivity is preferred.
- Competitive base salary range of $105,000–$140,000 USD, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
