Principal Product Manager (Healthcare AI focus)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Manager (Healthcare AI focus) based in the United States.

Join a strategic product leadership role focused on advancing AI-powered healthcare solutions that improve claims accuracy and operational efficiency. You'll define the vision and roadmap for complex AI products, collaborating with engineering, data science, business, and customer stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions at scale. This position combines product strategy, technical leadership, and cross-functional execution in a fast-paced environment where artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Generative AI are central to product innovation. You'll play a key role in driving AI adoption, mentoring product professionals, and influencing high-impact decisions that shape the future of healthcare technology. Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute product strategy and long-term roadmaps for complex AI products and AI platform initiatives.
  • Identify market opportunities through customer research, competitive analysis, and business case development to drive product innovation.
  • Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, prioritized backlogs, and actionable development plans.
  • Partner closely with engineering, data science, research, legal, finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams to deliver AI capabilities from concept through launch.
  • Lead end-to-end program execution, managing timelines, resolving roadblocks, and ensuring successful delivery of AI-driven initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product performance, customer adoption, and business impact.
  • Drive executive stakeholder alignment while effectively communicating product vision, progress, and value across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support customer engagements throughout the product lifecycle, serving as a trusted AI product expert during strategic discussions.
  • Promote AI adoption across operational teams and continuously improve product processes, workflows, and governance.
  • Mentor Product Managers and Product Analysts, fostering best practices and strengthening overall product management capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of product management experience leading product strategy, roadmap development, and full product lifecycle management.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing AI-powered products, with exposure to machine learning and Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience working with AI infrastructure and technical AI development environments.
  • Strong background in Healthcare IT, healthcare claims processing, healthcare analytics, or related healthcare technology domains.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cross-functional product delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform product decisions, prioritization, and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and executive influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and build consensus across diverse teams.
  • Experience mentoring product professionals and supporting team development.
  • Customer-centric mindset with experience gathering user feedback, conducting research, and translating customer needs into product improvements.
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership, adaptability, resilience, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10–15%) and maintain a dedicated remote work environment.

  • Base salary ranging from $140,000 to $180,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
