Senior Product Manager - Autonomous Agents

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Autonomous Agents based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of enterprise AI by defining how autonomous agents operate in real-world customer environments.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Product Manager will lead the product vision, roadmap, and execution for autonomous agent capabilities, ensuring AI-driven solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise customer needs. This role requires close collaboration across engineering, research, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders.

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for autonomous agent capabilities, from discovery and prioritization through delivery and measurement.
  • Define how AI agents understand goals, plan actions, execute workflows, manage context, and collaborate with human teams across different channels.
  • Translate enterprise customer requirements into clear product specifications and actionable development priorities.
  • Partner with Applied Research, Data Science, and Engineering teams to establish evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and quality standards for AI capabilities.
  • Drive alignment across technical and business teams, including engineering, QA, delivery, customer success, sales, and partnerships.
  • Define instrumentation and analytics requirements to measure agent usage, reliability, performance, and customer outcomes.
  • Establish execution processes including roadmap planning, delivery reviews, launch readiness, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Lead post-launch improvement initiatives through monitoring, incident reviews, feedback analysis, and continuous product optimization.
  • Advocate for customer needs while balancing technical feasibility, scalability, cost, and enterprise requirements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically strong product leader with experience building complex software products and a deep understanding of AI-driven systems. They should be comfortable working across research, engineering, and customer teams to deliver innovative solutions at enterprise scale.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with 5+ years of progressive product management experience.
  • MBA from a leading institution is a plus.
  • Proven experience owning complex product areas and delivering technical products for enterprise customers.
  • Strong understanding of conversational AI and autonomous agent systems, including:
    • Large language model (LLM)-based reasoning and tool usage.
    • Multi-step task execution and workflow orchestration.
    • Agent collaboration patterns, including supervisor/sub-agent models and human-in-the-loop escalation.
    • AI evaluation methodologies, including task completion, accuracy, regression testing, and performance monitoring.
    • AI agent observability practices such as tracing, logging, alerting, and failure analysis.
  • Strong technical fluency across APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and AI/ML deployment workflows.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with experience turning enterprise needs into clear product strategies and requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
