Project Manager - Dynamics ERP Implementation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager - Dynamics ERP Implementation based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex digital transformation initiatives by managing large-scale Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementation projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery outcomes, from planning and execution to financial control and stakeholder alignment.
Working in a remote consulting environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and technical experts to deliver impactful solutions.
The position requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams across diverse teams.
You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving delivery practices, and ensuring technology investments generate measurable business value.
This is an opportunity for an experienced project leader to influence enterprise transformation programs and build trusted client partnerships.

Accountabilities:

As a Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex Microsoft Dynamics ERP and cloud transformation projects, ensuring predictable execution, strong governance, and successful client outcomes. You will act as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, technical teams, delivery partners, and leadership groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own the complete project lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, change management, and delivery governance.
  • Establish clear project objectives, ownership models, communication plans, decision frameworks, and success criteria with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Lead large-scale ERP implementation initiatives, ensuring alignment between technology delivery and business objectives.
  • Manage project financials, including forecasting, budget tracking, margin protection, variance analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor project health through KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and proactive corrective actions.
  • Drive risk and issue management by identifying challenges early, developing mitigation plans, and escalating when required.
  • Manage scope changes, re-estimation activities, and change requests while maintaining commercial discipline.
  • Facilitate executive governance meetings, steering committees, project reviews, and delivery checkpoints.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including functional consultants, architects, developers, offshore resources, PMO teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Apply structured delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid approaches, and established project governance practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by improving delivery processes, documentation, templates, and project management standards.
  • Coach project teams, promote accountability, resolve conflicts, and maintain execution discipline in complex environments.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced consulting project leader with a strong background in ERP implementations, Microsoft Dynamics solutions, and enterprise technology delivery. You should combine project management expertise with strong stakeholder management, financial awareness, and the ability to operate effectively in complex client environments.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • 10+ years of professional services project management experience, preferably within consulting and technology delivery environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementation projects.
  • Minimum 5 years working with consulting implementation partners or professional services organizations.
  • Proven experience delivering complex ERP, CRM, Azure, cloud, or digital transformation programs.
  • Strong project controls expertise, including planning, scheduling, budget management, forecasting, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Experience managing multi-workstream projects involving onshore, offshore, technical, functional, and client teams.
  • Ability to lead teams of 20+ professionals across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executives, business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, CPM, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial judgment with experience managing project financials and delivery outcomes.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Advanced proficiency with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and project management tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, KPI-driven delivery management, and reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud, ERP, CRM, and digital transformation ecosystems.
  • Certifications such as CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar agile delivery credentials.
