Technical Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Account Manager based in Canada.

The Technical Account Manager will play a key role in helping customers successfully adopt and optimize a technology platform through expert technical guidance and partnership.
This position sits at the intersection of customer success, engineering, product, and sales, ensuring seamless implementations and integrations.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers navigate complex API integrations, troubleshoot challenges, and unlock long-term value.
The role offers the opportunity to influence customer experiences, improve technical processes, and contribute to scalable solutions.
Working in a remote-first environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and support a diverse customer base.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes, communicate solutions, and ensure timely resolution of customer challenges.
  • Manage technical inquiries through structured support processes, tracking response times, resolution progress, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to support customer lifecycle activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise during customer conversations, implementation planning, and solution design discussions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, API examples, implementation playbooks, and internal knowledge resources.
  • Educate customers and internal teams on platform capabilities, integration approaches, and best practices.
  • Analyze recurring technical challenges and recommend improvements to APIs, workflows, and customer success processes.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge with strong customer-facing experience and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. They should be comfortable managing complex technical conversations while maintaining a customer-focused mindset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role involving solution design, technical troubleshooting, implementation support, or customer enablement.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, authentication processes, and technical troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with engineering, product, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working in SaaS, HR technology, payroll, workforce management, or enterprise software environments is an asset.
  • Advanced technical education, cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), API/integration certifications, or project management certifications are considered an asset.
