Distribution Clerk in Clinton, Missouri at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital

The Materials Management Distribution Clerk is responsible for accurately storing, distributing, and maintaining hospital supplies to ensure that all departments have the materials necessary for safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Pick, pack, and deliver supplies to departments or work areas according to established schedules or requests in a timely manner
• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and assist with year-end physical inventories
• Monitor stock levels to anticipate shortages or overstock situations and communicate recommendations for reorder to the buyer group
• Stock and organize supplies in designated storage areas using proper rotation methods (first in, first out or first expired, first out)
• Participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate daily workload and ensure consistent service levels
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds required
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with cross-training provided for fill in within the department (receiving, linen distribution, etc)

Education/Credentials:
High school diploma or equivalent
