Job Description
RahrBSG is looking for an Business System Analyst to join our team in Shakopee, MN. The Business Systems Analyst leads the design, improvement, and support of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain capabilities for manufacturing, agricultural sourcing, and supply chain operations. Using a product-oriented mindset, this role partners with stakeholders to define business needs, challenge legacy processes, and deliver scalable solutions that align with standard D365 functionality. The role focuses on improving data reliability, reducing unnecessary customization, and supporting efficient, compliant operations in a complex and regulated environment.
This is an hybrid role reporting to our Shakopee campus three days a week.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary business analyst and functional owner for assigned Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management capabilities supporting manufacturing, agricultural sourcing, and supply chain operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders across manufacturing, grain sourcing, quality, supply chain, and finance to clarify business needs, challenge assumptions, and ensure solutions address root causes rather than symptoms.
- Own backlog definition and refinement using Azure DevOps, including writing clear, outcome-focused user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect real manufacturing, agricultural, and supply chain scenarios.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, process standards, and training materials in partnership with the analyst team and business users.
- Design and deliver scalable D365 solutions across inventory, production, procurement, quality, and pricing by evaluating processes and data, partnering with developers, and favoring standard functionality over customization.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams regarding data models, integrations, testing scenarios, and dependencies across systems.
- Support system testing activities, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing, to validate functionality, data accuracy, controls, and usability.
- Evaluate upstream and downstream impacts of changes across sourcing, inventory, manufacturing, logistics, and finance, and communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process, data, and system improvements that increase efficiency, improve data trust, and support regulatory and traceability requirements.
- Support ongoing system updates and enhancements by testing D365 functionality and coordinating changes across teams and locations.
- Monitor business process performance and recurring support issues to identify stabilization and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with users and support teams to resolve issues, improve adoption, and maintain reliable day-to-day system operations.
- Help standardize business processes, strengthen data quality, and support sustainable platform improvements over time.
- Support ongoing releases, enhancements, and business readiness activities across teams and locations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed to support business operations and enterprise system objectives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations, Agriculture, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (or a comparable ERP) as a business analyst, functional analyst, or power user.
- 2+ years of combined business and/or IT experience, with hands‑on exposure to one or more of the following areas:
- Manufacturing or process manufacturing
- Agricultural sourcing, ingredients, or commodity‑based supply chains
- Inventory management, warehousing, or logistics
- Procurement, quality, or operational finance
- Required Qualification: Experience collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders and delivery teams to define requirements, support testing, and deliver system improvements.
- Preferred Qualification: Experience supporting ERP processes in environments with operational variability, such as seasonality, yield differences, quality constraints, or regulated requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, agricultural sourcing, and supply chain processes, including inventory, production, procurement, quality, and finance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (or comparable ERP), with the ability to evaluate standard functionality, configuration options, and data models.
- Demonstrated ability to frame business problems, challenge assumptions, and translate needs into clear, outcome‑focused requirements.
- Ability to design solutions that account for operational variability, including seasonality, yield differences, quality constraints, and commodity‑based inputs.
- Proven skill in assessing cross‑functional impacts and identifying root causes across upstream and downstream processes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, business‑friendly terms and facilitate alignment across stakeholders.
- Experience writing high‑quality user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect real operational scenarios.
- Ability to prioritize work based on business value, risk, and long‑term platform health.
- Technical proficiency with tools such as Azure DevOps (or similar) to manage backlogs and support delivery.
- Analytical, organized, and self‑directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in both independent and team environments.
- Openness to feedback, continuous learning, and evolving responsibilities in a growing and changing environment.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics concepts (e.g., Power BI) and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
