Job Summary
Supports the development, testing, implementation, and on-going maintenance of new and existing clinical applications.
Compensation
We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The annual wage range for this position is $66,830.40—$94,328, based on a 1.0 FTE. This reflects the base salary.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide expertise with the design, build and test clinical software, including integrated and/or interfaced applications, for updates, project related system changes and change requests.
- Conducts TEST and LIVE software validation including developing and documenting test scripts and test results.
- Receive, analyze, track, document, and plan issue resolution and/or change requests.
- Communicate frequently with users, Super Users, and other analysts to resolve issues and/or ensure that systems and processes are working as designed.
- Assists in the review of new software releases and updates to facilitate user determination of functionality that will be utilized.
- Assist with training for new clinical software updates, request implementations and new clinical application deployments.
- Works collaboratively and draws upon the experience of the Senior Clinical Application Analyst to successfully implement and support clinical applications.
- Understands the ITS security policies and procedures and ensure they followed and adhered.
- Provide after hours and week end on-call support as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years healthcare related experience, preferably in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting.
- Knowledge of patient workflow and documentation requirements.
- Experience with the implementation of an EHR and/or other clinical systems that supports the delivery of patient care.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.
- Must be able to utilize analytical thought processes to solve problems, determine and implement effective, technically innovative solutions.
- Possess critical thinking, systems thinking and problems solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and its potential for improving departmental and interdepartmental efficiency
- Organized with proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate at the detail level, and with a high level organizational and integrated view. Awareness of how, when and to what extent different hospital departments relate and communicate with one another.
Schedule
- 80 hours per two-week pay period
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary slightly)
- Weekends may be required for projects and LIVE items
- On-call rotation: One week of call every 14 weeks
