Location: Prince George, BC
Employment Type: Full Time (35 hours per week)

The Opportunity: Supports the development of recommendations to integrated teams, practitioners, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors dealing with serious, complex and contentious situations related to child safety, guardianship & post majority, resources, and family preservation services:
- Reviews referred to cases and provides recommendations about the assessment, the coordination of services and integrated service planning
- Provides guidance and assistance to social workers, supervisors, and managers in completing and analyzing assessments for children and families.
- Provides input and assistance regarding the need for and development of additional, specialized assessment tools.
- Provides ongoing support to integrated management teams, social workers, managers, and Directors.
- Provides training to the delegated social work staff in the areas of assessment, practice development and new practice initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Complaints Specialist to provide ongoing support across complaint handling activities, including administrative and practice support tasks.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- Master of Social Work or Master’s in Education Counselling/Psychology preferred; OR
- Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care with a minimum of three years’ recent experience as a child protection social worker in British Columbia
- Supervisory experience in a child protection or guardianship social work setting is an asset
- Must be eligible and maintain C4 delegation through the Ministry of Children and Family Development in British Columbia

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $43.7197 to $ 56.6182 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
