Work alongside Child and Youth Counsellors to support children with developmental disabilities or autism in developing life skills. You'll also help create engaging recreational, educational, and social activities that empower children in a community setting.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will assist in creating monthly newsletters featuring various recreational activities. They will help develop and implement a wide range of summer activities for children and youth with developmental disabilities, creating opportunities that provide recreational, educational, and social support. The role also involves designing online programming, such as yoga classes and virtual farm tours.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in programs for children with disabilities and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing situations. They should be energetic and passionate about working with children and youth, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. A commitment to a problem-solving approach is essential, along with the ability to identify sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. The candidate should possess excellent organizational and time-management skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
