About the Role: The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing all procurement activities, including the sourcing of raw materials, parts, and supplies critical to our production processes. This role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining strong supplier relationships and aligning material purchases with production needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage supplier performance and negotiations while contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Procurement Management: Oversee the sourcing and purchasing raw materials, parts, and supplies needed for production, ensuring compliance with quality standards and cost constraints. MRP Reviews: Conduct regular Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reviews to forecast needs and ensure procurement activities align with production schedules. Material Planning & Ordering: Develop and execute material plans to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid production delays. Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms and pricing, address performance issues, and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Invoice Resolution: Review and resolve invoice discrepancies by working closely with Accounts Payable and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payments. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to analyze procurement data, track inventory levels, and prepare necessary reports. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall supply chain performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record in material planning and supplier management. in a manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Excellent negotiation skills with keen attention to detail. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to analyze data and make informed, strategic decisions. Work Environment This role operates in a hybrid environment, offering flexibility while maintaining regular interaction between the supply chain and production teams.
