This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Sales – Pulp & Paper based in Canada.
This is a high-impact commercial leadership role focused on driving growth within the pulp and paper industry across Alberta and surrounding markets.
The position blends strategic sales leadership with hands-on customer engagement in a highly technical, industrial environment.
You will be responsible for expanding key accounts while developing long-term partnerships with industry clients.
The role requires close collaboration with technical, service, and engineering teams to deliver tailored chemical and process solutions.
You will also lead a small technical team, coaching and developing talent to ensure operational excellence in the field.
Frequent travel is expected, supporting customer sites, trials, and ongoing relationship management.

- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share within the pulp and paper sector, identifying new opportunities and monitoring competitive activity.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and long-term commercial partner.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team (Service Technician and Support Engineer), ensuring performance, engagement, and technical excellence.
- Support field operations as needed, including treatment program execution, reporting, inventory coordination, and equipment uptime monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, service) to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions.
- Track sales performance, forecast demand, and report key commercial and operational metrics.
- Support customer visits, trials, and technical discussions to strengthen solution adoption and value delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven sales leadership experience, ideally within pulp & paper, industrial manufacturing, or similar technical industries.
- Prior people management experience with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate technical teams.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and service stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills in complex B2B environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across customer sites in the region.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to perform occasional field-related tasks (including lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Self-driven, persuasive, and confident in driving commercial outcomes and customer engagement.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $96,880 to $129,170, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses
