Workday Senior Certified Advanced Compensation Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Senior Certified Advanced Compensation Consultant based in Canada.

This remote consulting opportunity is designed for an experienced Workday professional specializing in Advanced Compensation and HCM solutions. You will play a key role in helping organizations successfully implement, configure, and optimize Workday platforms to meet complex business needs. The position involves collaborating with clients, technical teams, and consultants throughout the implementation lifecycle. You will provide functional expertise, guide best practices, and contribute to successful digital transformation initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to influence solution design, mentor other consultants, and support innovative approaches to Workday deployments. It is ideal for professionals who combine strong Workday expertise with consulting skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide functional expertise in the Workday HCM suite with a focus on Advanced Compensation solutions.
  • Lead or support Workday implementation activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer.
  • Design and configure Workday solutions that align with client business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with data conversion teams to support secure migration of legacy data into Workday.
  • Partner with integration teams to configure and test integrations between Workday and external or custom systems.
  • Analyze complex requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and develop scalable solutions that support long-term client needs.
  • Support client adoption of Workday best practices through training, guidance, and effective communication.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring satisfaction, successful deployments, and ongoing confidence in delivered solutions.
  • Provide project updates, identify risks, and communicate progress to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior consultants, share product knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain Workday certifications and stay current with platform updates and industry practices.
  • Recommend innovative approaches and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Workday deployments.
Requirements:
  • Current Workday Partner HCM Certification with at least one additional HCM certification, including Advanced Compensation.
  • 2-4+ years of Workday configuration and implementation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous consulting experience within a software or technology consulting environment.
  • Experience implementing enterprise applications such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of human resources processes and functional HCM solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage timelines and delivery objectives.
  • Strong business analysis skills with experience gathering, documenting, and translating requirements into solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies through training and self-directed learning.
  • Experience managing multiple HCM projects simultaneously is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% depending on project requirements.
