Scot Forge is seeking an IT Endpoint Support / Desktop Support Intern for Summer 2027 at our corporate facility in Spring Grove, Illinois.

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the technology infrastructure of a modern manufacturing environment. You'll work alongside IT professionals who support end users, enterprise technologies, hardware deployments, and critical business systems while gaining practical experience in desktop support, endpoint management, networking, and IT operations.

As an IT Endpoint Support / Desktop Support Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the systems, devices, and technologies that keep our operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

As an IT Endpoint Support / Desktop Support Intern, you may:

• Deploy, configure, and support computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user access issues
• Assist with IT asset management, documentation, and device lifecycle activities
• Support networking, wireless, cloud, and enterprise technology initiatives
• Test new technologies and help automate routine IT tasks
• Collaborate with IT team members on operational and infrastructure projects

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Networking, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Rising Sophomore or higher at the start of the internship
• Experience working with computer hardware or operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux
• Understanding of basic networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, and DHCP
• Ability to independently research technical issues and document findings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, or networking issues
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or other SaaS applications
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Knowledge of virtualization, endpoint management, monitoring, or IT service management tools
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications

Additional Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screen

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual base pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
