Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst II to serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and Information Technology teams. This role partners closely with business units to understand operational needs, evaluate current processes, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions that align with organizational strategy.
The IT Business Analyst II combines strong business domain knowledge with technical acumen to improve systems, streamline processes, and support the full system development lifecycle—from discovery through implementation and testing.

What You’ll Do:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Partner with business units to understand operational goals, challenges, and technology needs
  • Gather and analyze requirements using interviews, workshops, document analysis, workflow analysis, and use cases
  • Translate high‑level business requirements into clear, detailed functional specifications
  • Evaluate information from multiple sources, identify gaps, and resolve conflicting inputs
  • Distinguish user requests from underlying business needs
Solution Design & Delivery
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and subject matter experts to define technical solutions
  • Support system design by balancing usability, performance, and business priorities
  • Assist with business process redesign and documentation for new or enhanced systems
  • Provide support throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including testing and implementation
  • Manage and communicate changes to requirements as solutions evolve
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non‑technical partners
  • Facilitate communication between business units and IT from initial requirements through final delivery
  • Educate IT teams on business unit priorities, strategies, and operational context
  • Stay current on technology trends and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT business analysis or a related role
  • Strong experience with business analysis methodologies and best practices
  • Proven ability to produce functional specifications and business documentation
  • Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT systems and applications
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools and techniques
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of current technology trends and their practical business applications
