Job Description

IT Business Systems Programmer-AnalystAbout the Role

As an IT Business Systems Programmer-Analyst, you will collaborate across local, regional, and global teams to support business systems and digital transformation initiatives. You’ll play a key role in shaping tools, workflows, and ServiceNow strategy while driving process improvements across the organization.

Relationships
  • Reports to the Head of IT Business Systems
  • Participates in Local, Regional and Global Cross-Functional Teams
  • Works with Microsoft Office Suite, Service Now, OneSpan, SAP and other systems to support Blum US, as well as regional and global topics as needed
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams and departments to define appropriate collection of tools (“Teams Spaces”) to support their objectives
  • Coordinate the transition from Office 365 to ServiceNow-based solutions where appropriate. Serve as a key player in our ServiceNow strategy
  • Administer assignment of tools and roles within Teams Spaces
  • Provide low-code programming and coordinate the US-based implementations of ServiceNow modules
  • Facilitate move to paperless processes and digital signature solutions
  • Work with Global and Regional IT to support company-wide implementation and standards within the digital frameworks
  • Potential to participate in java development projects (but that is not the primary focus of this role)
  • Take the initiative to seek out areas of improvement
  • Provide guidance and assist in ongoing data maintenance within spaces
  • Analyze business needs to identify technical requirements and implications. Consider both process and systems when defining alternative solutions
  • Continuously assess systems as business direction changes for impacts to existing designs
  • Prepare & maintain technical documentation (i.e. flow charts, models, procedures, user guides) to assist with the ongoing operation & maintenance of technology solutions
Work Environment & Travel
  • Eligible for hybrid work environment after 90 days (2 days remote, 3 days in-office at our Stanley, NC location). We value the benefit achieved by face-to-face collaboration so fully remote is not an option for this position
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required, and your ability to travel is essential
  • Up to a total of 6 weeks of training in Europe will be required during the first year, but after year 1 travel will decrease
Education
  • Associates Degree in an IT or business-related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
Knowledge
  • Software development skills with demonstrated experience in JavaScript, Databases & SQL, APIs, SCOM, JSON, HTML5
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Project, PowerBI, SharePoint…), Atlassian Confluence, SAP, OneSpan and a never-ending desire to learn and share more
  • Business requirements and business process analysis
  • Good project management skills are a plus
  • Familiar with waterfall and agile methodologies
