About This Position
Reports to
Senior Inspector or Director of Quality Control
Qualifications:
• Must possess Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations, airline maintenance manuals, and specific procedures related to RII tasks.
• Understanding of Company procedures and policies.
• At least two years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a preference for experience on the specific aircraft types operated.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These shall include, but are not limited to the following:
• Performing Required Inspection Items (RII) as authorized by the Quality Control department in accordance with maintenance manuals.
• Performing assigned inspection functions, in accordance with Company maintenance manual inspection procedures, to ensure Company aircraft are maintained to prescribed standards of airworthiness and serviceability.
• Performing assigned audits in accordance with the GMM.
• Rejection of all items that do not conform to the RII procedures contained in this manual.
• Reporting trends or concerns to the DQC.
• Conducting on-the-job training as outlined in Company Maintenance Training Manual.
• When authorized, perform receiving inspections of parts and accessories ensuring materials received are inspected to the extent necessary to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Specifications.
• Accomplishing non-destructive inspection operations for which they have been trained and qualified to perform.
• Ensuring that adequate inspection aides, special tools, and equipment are available in assigned area and are maintained in serviceable condition. Ensuring that available technical manuals are current and properly maintained.
• Auditing to ensure the proper completion of aircraft records during maintenance and repair.
• Other duties as assigned by the DQC.
