Job Description
Reports to:
Director of Quality Assurance
Qualifications:
• At least two years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a preference for experience with parts receiving and tracking.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations, airline maintenance manuals, and specific procedures related to parts receiving tasks.
• Able to read, write, and speak English language.
• Able to lift 50LBs.
• Able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work with multiple departments, strong attention to detail, good communication skills.
• Basic Word and Excel experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These shall include, but are not limited to the following;
• Performing QA/QC materials receiving inspections authorized by the Quality Control
department in accordance with GMM.
• Performing assigned material inspection functions, in accordance with Company
maintenance manual inspection procedures, to ensure Company materials are
handled, stored and tracked IAW GMM.
• Performing assigned audits in accordance with the GMM.
• Rejection and quarantine of any part or component that does not meet company
standards from entering stock.
• Reporting trends or concerns to the DQC.
• Conducting on-the-job training as outlined in Company Maintenance Training Manual.
• Perform receiving inspections of parts and accessories ensuring materials received are inspected to the extent necessary to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation
Regulations and Company Specifications.
• Request and review teardown reports before purchasing parts to ensure informed
decision making.
• Accurately track parts are sent out for repair or overhaul.
• Verify parts sent out and received have had correct inspection, overhaul or repair
conducted.
• Ensure accurate data entries are made to ensure computer tracking systems track time limits accurately.
• Other duties as assigned by DQC or QC manager
• Monitor and track problematic parts so they don’t enter back into inventory.
• Make recommendations to DQC for any procedural change to increase efficiency and efficiency in materials receiving.
• Track vendor performance to ensure repairs and overhauls meet quality standards.
• Ensure tracking and receiving procedures controls are followed to avoid unnecessary purchases.
• Assist Materials Manager with developing and monitoring min/max stock levels.
• Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure receiving inspection procedures are adequate to ensure faulty parts are
rejected.
• Review and verify all incoming documentation (e.g., 8130-3, Certificates of
Conformance, traceability documents) for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures and general
safety protocols during material inspection and handling.
• Assist during internal and external audits (FAA, customer, or vendor) by providing
relevant documentation and supporting data.
