Position Description: This role is responsible for all activities in the payroll tax processing and reporting functions. The Employment Tax Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll tax payments and reports while continually reviewing and analyzing current tax procedures to ensure best practices are followed while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Position Responsibilities: 100.00% - Responsibility #1-Tax Reporting Responsibilities

Ensuring daily imports of payroll tax information from System(s) to the employment tax management system are processed timely and accurately.

Processing and ensuring timely and accurate employment tax deposits, including daily, monthly, quarterly and annual deposits.

Processing and ensuring timely filing of all required employment tax returns, including, quarterly and annual withholding and unemployment returns.

Reconcile all quarterly and annual unemployment and withholding returns.

Maintaining accurate information within both the HRM and employment tax management system.

Researching and resolving agency notices.

Other duties as assigned and when deemed necessary.

Follows all state and federal laws, tax law/regulation, as well as company policies and procedures.

Protects the company from liability and exposure.

Responsibility #3-Personal Development

Keeps up to date on changes to tax regulations, tax guidelines, state and federal law.

Continues to learn and grow as an Employment Tax Professional.

Completes all mandatory training.

Share ideas that will help you and/or the company grow.

Additional job duties as assigned.

Completes mandatory training.

Comprehensive knowledge of employment taxes.

Must be able to read, understand, and analyze technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and achieve deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Actively listen and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Write business correspondence, and document processes/procedures.

Make decisions and problem solve by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Experience in researching, analyzing and performing payroll tax related duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: EMPLOYMENT TAX SPECIALIST - High school diploma or equivalent

3-5 years experience as payroll tax and accounting professional

FPC or CPP Certification preferred

Mastertax and Darwin experience preferred
