Under general supervision, provides security for patients, employees and visitors. Protects hospital buildings and assets.

Qualifications

Education

• Required
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

• Preferred
  • One year of experience in Public Contact Work
  • Completion of one year of an approved Security Officer Training Course

Certification/Licensure:

• Required
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
  • Level III SAFE Training
    • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
  • Level II Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
    • Must obtain within sixty (60) days of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination.

• • Level III Security Training Licensure with authorization from the State of Texas
    • Must obtain within (6) months of start date. If failure to obtain certification will be subjected to termination. Recertification is required every two (2) years.
