Physician – Gastroenterology

Summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking to expand our gastroenterology services through the addition of a lead gastroenterologist to our team. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a gastroenterology practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment where your expertise and voice are valued. As an independent healthcare system, you’ll have the autonomy to advocate for your patients and deliver personalized care.

Our endoscopy center currently completes over 1900 endo procedures annually. With the addition of the current Allina Health Northfield primary care clinicians and patients to our care system in September 2026 (20 primary care clinicians; approximately 20,000 patients), this is a perfect time to build a gastroenterology program with a large primary care network and capacity in our endoscopy center. You’ll join a supportive team dedicated to high-quality outcomes and a positive patient experience.

Compensation

We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Year 1: $600,000-$650,000 guarantee with an additional $75,000 signing bonus. Pay within the range is determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and internal equity.

This position will enter into a guaranteed minimum + production compensation program after Year 1.

Practice Details

1.0 FTE, 64 clinical contact hours per 2-week pay period
2 days of outpatient clinic at our Northfield Clinic and one other clinic location (Lakeville, Farmington, or Faribault), with support staff dedicated to your practice
2 days of procedures in our endoscopy center at the Northfield Hospital
No call responsibilities
Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and retirement (PERA pension plan)

Qualifications

Completion of a medical degree, accredited residency program, and an accredited gastroenterology fellowship
Board eligible or board certified in Gastroenterology
Current and unrestricted Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license
