POSITION TITLE: Blaster/Painter

REPORTS TO: Paint Department Team Lead

1st SHIFT - 6am to 4:30pm

2ndSHIFT - 4:30pm to 3:00am

Monday - Friday

Some Saturdays may be required - 12:00pm to 6:00pm

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY :

• Follow all KC Safety Directives & Guidelines.

• Sand Blast and Painting Operations.

• Apply prepared primers and paints to components.

• This paints to proper consistency and viscosity for spraying or brushing application.

• Adjust equipment to obtain the finished requirements.

• Operate paint booth, painting, and blasting equipment.

• Maintain spraying equipment and booths in working conditions.

• Operate crane and forklifts.

• Maintain inventory of paint and supplies.

• Maintain clean and orderly work area including equipment and performs all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures.

• Other duties assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1 to 2 years experiences preferred.

• Airless and Conventional Paint Sprayer experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Visual acuity to read directions and prints to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet standards.

• Difficult positioning and assembling requiring a high degree of accuracy and dexterity.

• Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent stooping and bending.

• Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds. Cranes and Forklifts are available for heavy lifting.
