You will help customers in person and on the phones answering questions, completing applications, and processing requests as residents of Pierce County seek assistant with their heating bills.

We are filling 2 positions!

• Limited Duration Full Time Office Assistant 2 with benefits with work up to June 2026. May end earlier.

• Regular Full Time Office Assistant 2 with benefits.

These are grant funded positions. Continued employment is contingent upon job performance/evaluation, continued funding of the program and other appropriate County procedures.

Core Daily Responsibilities:
• Process incoming applications for completeness
• Utilize the databases associated with the program and enter client information
• Communicate with clients about application status and next steps.
• Prepare and distribute client notices
• Work effectively within the team and provide support for the team as needed.
• Provide general receptionist duties.

Recruiting Requirements:

• One year of general office experience
• Additional education or related experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of working with people experiencing poverty preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion.
