The City of Bothell’s Legal Department is seeking a dedicated and well-organized trial attorney to serve as its next Prosecutor. This role involves prosecuting misdemeanor cases and representing the Supervising Attorney in court proceedings.

What will you do in this position?

• Appear in Municipal Court for all court calendars.
• Work on behalf of the City Prosecutor in misdemeanor prosecutions.
• Prosecute drug forfeiture and impound cases.
• Prepare pleadings, plea offers, motions, correspondence and legal memoranda.
• Coordinate with Bothell Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.

A successful candidate in this position will:

• Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
• Make timely and effective decisions, often with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure, relying on a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
• Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
• Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
• Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
• Build and invest in both internal and external partnerships; work collaboratively to achieve effective agreements, strong relationships, and mutual goodwill.
