The City of Bothell’s Legal Department is seeking a dedicated and well-organized trial attorney to serve as its next Prosecutor. This role involves prosecuting misdemeanor cases and representing the Supervising Attorney in court proceedings.
What will you do in this position?
- Appear in Municipal Court for all court calendars.
- Work on behalf of the City Prosecutor in misdemeanor prosecutions.
- Prosecute drug forfeiture and impound cases.
- Prepare pleadings, plea offers, motions, correspondence and legal memoranda.
- Coordinate with Bothell Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.
A successful candidate in this position will:
- Work together with the Bothell Community and Departments to cultivate strong and successful partnerships.
- Make timely and effective decisions, often with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure, relying on a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
- Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
- Build and invest in both internal and external partnerships; work collaboratively to achieve effective agreements, strong relationships, and mutual goodwill.
