The Wildfire Law Center is dedicated to advocating for communities and individuals impacted by wildfires and other natural disasters. We specialize in mass tort litigation, ensuring clients receive the justice and compensation they deserve. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven, results-oriented attorney to join our team and help lead our legal operations.
We are seeking an experienced Mass Tort Attorney with a strong background in wildfire or natural disaster-related cases. The ideal candidate is a go-getter, ready to take ownership of legal operations and build a high-performing team. This person must be adaptable, resilient, and empathetic—someone who understands the deep impact of these cases on the communities we serve.
This is a remote role, but travel (up to 25-40%) will be required for casework, client meetings, and team collaboration. This is a full-time exempt position.

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $100,000- $130,000 + benefits. The salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location. Individual pay is determined by location and additional factors including: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:
- Mentor a team of legal professionals handling mass tort cases related to wildfires and natural disasters.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies to maximize client outcomes while maintaining efficiency.
- Act as a strategic partner in assessing and refining team needs.
- Ensure cases progress efficiently, focusing on metrics-driven performance and operational improvements.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
- Build and maintain relationships within the mass tort and legal communities to support business growth and recruitment efforts.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for the legal team.
- Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 1+ years of experience in mass tort litigation, particularly cases involving wildfires, natural disasters, or environmental law.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a legal team.
- A metrics-focused mindset or a willingness to be trained in operational efficiency.
- A “get it done” mentality – someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Proven ability to build and leverage a professional network, reducing long-term recruiting and hiring costs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% on average (1/ quarter).
